Connor Amundsen, standout Clovis North guard, commits to Dartmouth
Connor Amundsen, a senior point guard at Clovis North High School, committed to Dartmouth College, he announced on Wednesday.
Amundsen averaged 10 points per game as a freshman and increased that total to 18 per game as a sophomore while helping the Broncos reach the CIF State Division 1 title game.
His performance in front of college coaches this past summer led to offers from UC-San Diego, Houston Christian and Portland State before he picked the Dartmouth Big Green of the Ivy League.
Shoulder injuries cost Amundsen from playing for Clovis North during his junior season. He's recovered from a wrist injury prior to his final season to lead the Broncos to a 21-5 record with three games remaining in the regular season.
Amundsen had 36 points in last week's win over rival Clovis West and scored a school records 42 points against Windward in December.
Clovis West sits at No. 25 in SBLive's Top 25 California high school boys basketball rankings with all five of their losses this season coming against teams ranked within the top 14.
