CIF San Francisco Section 2024 boys basketball playoff brackets: Updated scores, matchups, game times (2-21-2024)

A familiar pair of rivals, Lowell and Lincoln, advance to the section finals after semifinal wins on Wednesday.

Lincoln and Lowell are regulars in the San Francisco Section boys basketball finals.

The Cardinals and Mustangs will meet once more in the 2024 edition Friday at Kezar Pavilion. Tip off is at 5 p.m.

Lowell advanced to the finals Wednesday with a 47-28 semifinal victory over Washington to improve to 20-9 on the season. That came about two hours after Lincoln had a tough time before shaking Galileo, 58-46.

Ceyaan Lutt scored a game-high 21 points for Lincoln (20-10), which has won 12 straight and 17 out of 20. DaMarco Reed Jr., a 6-foot-4 forward, had 17 points. No other Lincoln player had more than five.

Darrigan Wong had 10 points to lead Galileo (16-14).

"We had a good start," said Lincoln coach Carl Jacobs, whose team returned just two players from last year's 27-4 team . "But Galileo wouldn't go away. Our inexperience showed at times, but Ceyaan kept us ahead with his first-half scoring and solid defense on their best player."

Lincoln beat Lowell twice earlier this season, 53-40 and 57-48. The Mustangs also defeated Lincoln in last year's SFS title game, 54-27 and the 2022 championship game, 49-45.
