SACRAMENTO — Ojiugo Egeonu and Daijha Teague scored a team-high 15 points each to lift Oakland over Montgomery 56-50 on Friday morning in the California (CIF) Division 5 state girls basketball championship at the Golden 1 Center.

It marks the second state girls hoop title in school history for the Wildcats (23-10).

Egeonu supplied a game-high 17 rebounds and seven blocks and Teague had 15 rebounds and seven assists. Tyliana Velasquez added 12 points including connecting on four 3-pointers for Oakland.

Paula Zumstein had a game-high 21 points and 11 rebounds for Montgomery (25-12) and Jordan Naanos finished with 14 points.
