SBLive Florida Baseball Rankings: IMG Academy takes over top spot
With spring break tournaments taking place all over Florida there are dozens of matchups this week that could impact the statewide rankings.
Here are SBLive's statewide high school baseball rankings, which span all classifications. SBLive’s Florida baseball rankings are compiled by Ross Van De Griek and will be released weekly during the 2022 season.

2. The First Academy (Orlando) (6-0)

This Week: vs Olympia (Mon.), vs Ponte Vedra (Tues.)
The Royals have not allowed a run in each of their previous three games. The Royals kickoff the FCSL Spring Break Tournament this afternoon against Olympia in Sanford.
3. Stoneman Douglas (6-1)

Last Week: Defeated Barron Collier 5-1, Defeated West Broward 3-0
This Week: vs North Broward Prep (Tues.), vs Farragut (TN) (Wed.)
The Eagles have won six straight games, since suffering a 4-3 defeat to Taravella on opening night.

What a week it was for the Buccaneers. In their three games last week, the Buccaneers outscored their opponents 34-2.
Florida commit Cade Kurland drove in five runs in their 18-0 win over Lakewood in their last game.
5. Calvary Christian (Clearwater) (7-0)

Last Week: Defeated Lovett (Georgia) 12-3, Defeated Clearwater Central Catholic 9-0
This Week: vs Creekside (Mon.), vs Seminole (Tues.)
The Warriors have averaged just over nine runs per game so far this season, outscoring their opponents 66-4.
South Florida commit Matt Rose drove in six runs, as well as hitting two home runs in their 12-3 win over Lovett last week.
6. Taravella (6-1)

Last Week: Defeated Monarch 11-0, Lost to St. Thomas Aquinas 3-2

The Trojans begin a short two-game home stretch tomorrow against one of the top ranked teams in Tennessee.

The Senators have not had a game in 10 days, due to mother nature being unkind to them last week. The Senators will return to action on Thursday night, as they travel to Lake Highland Prep.

The Spartans round out the SBLive Florida baseball rankings Top 10. The Spartans will return to action on Friday night, where they travel to Bolles.
11. Leon (Tallahassee) (6-0)

The Lions are off to a nice start to begin the 2022 season, as they’ve won their first six games. Junior Kieran Hemingway has led the charge for the Lions, as he’s drove in 10 runs on the young season.
12. Jupiter (6-1)

Since sustaining their first loss of the season, the Warriors have responded with two straight wins outscoring their opponents 13-2.
