The Buccaneers claim first FHSAA state football title in program history
Quarterback Cooper Hayes threw two touchdown passes and added a rushing score to lead Berkeley Prep to a 28-20 victory over Miami Norland on Saturday morning in the Florida (FHSAA) Class 2M state football championship game in Tallahassee.
It marks the first state football title for the Buccaneers (13-2).
Berkeley Prep never trailed in the game.
Joseph Troupe rushed for 130 yards on 23 carries for the Buccaneers and he caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Hayes.
