Jamarice Wilder, 3-star 2025 RB, transfers from Venice to Sarasota Booker

Wilder rushed for 1,271 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2023

One of the bell cow running backs of Venice’s last two state finalist teams is leaving to head elsewhere on the South Suncoast. 

On Tuesday night, 2025 3-star running back Jamarice Wilder announced via X, formerly known as Twitter, that he’s transferring from Venice to Sarasota Booker. Wilder is rated a 3-star running according to 247Sports. 

In 2023, Wilder was the Indians’ top running back as he carried the ball 149 times for 1,271 yards and 25 touchdowns. As a sophomore in 2022, Wilder was second on the team in rushing with 898 yards and 12 scores. 

Wilder currently has offers from schools like Cincinnati, Indiana, Colorado, Michigan State, UCF, USF and West Virginia. 

The Tornadoes are coming off a strong season under Scottie Littles as they finished 9-5 and reaching the Class 2S state semifinals.
