OUTLOOK

If you weren’t paying attention, Kent-Meridian was one of the top offenses in the 4A NPSL last season (430 yards per game).

Callander plans on matching last year’s production, but just in a different way.

Highly-productive Isaac Cordova (3,200 passing yards, 35 TDs) has graduated, and the Royals think senior Ashaunyeh Barclay, a transfer from California, is the next man up. He has impressed teammates with his confidence.

Whoever ends up being the quarterback -- Wilson had been mentioned earlier in the summer as a candidate to switch, too -- Callander envisions more of a split between 2,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing from his signal caller.
