Qua Birdsong, 4-star linebacker, commits to UCF over Arkansas, Cincinnati and East Carolina

Troup County (Georgia) four-star linebacker Qua Birdsong made his commitment on Sunday afternoon to the Knights

LAGRANGE, GEORGIA- It’s been a heck of a time the last few days for the UCF Knights when it comes to the recruiting world. 

Especially when it comes to the Peach State. After landing Grayson offensive lineman Waltclaire Flynn Jr. on Saturday, the Knights made another splash commitment happen on Sunday. 

Troup County (Georgia) senior linebacker announced Sunday afternoon via Twitter that he is committing to UCF. The defensive star is a 4-star rated prospect according to 247Sports and also had offers on the table from Arkansas, Cincinnati and East Carolina.

As a freshman, Birdsong was more of a hybrid and played at linebacker and defensive end. At UCF, he projects to play at linebacker and he’s coming off a solid season at Troup County. 

In 2022, Birdsong registered 49 tackles and 12.5 went for a loss. The Tigers went 12-2 last season in AAAA, Region 4.
