Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Georgia high school football coach of the week (Oct. 27-28) as nominated by our SBLive staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 4 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominations:

Santavious Bryant, Grayson: Rams first-year head coach Santavious Bryant had his team ready to play last Friday night on the road against Archer, who was looking to lock up the Region 4-7A championship. Instead, the Rams jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. They can now win the Region 4-7A championship Friday night with a win at Parkview.

Grant Myers, Pickens: In a must-win game to keep their playoff hopes alive, the Grant Myers-led Pickens Dragons held off White County 39-37 to move into the fourth and final playoff spot out of Region 7-3A with one week to go. The Dragons can clinch a playoff spot with either a win or a White County loss on Friday night.

Michael Perry, Union County: The Panthers scored a huge 35-21 win over Athens Academy last Friday night to secure a spot in the Class 2A state playoffs. Led by head coach Michael Perry, the Panthers have a chance to win Region 8-2A Friday night with a win against Fellowship Christian.

Bryan Lamar, South Gwinnett: Needing a win to keep their postseason aspirations alive, the Comets took down Newton 31-28 last Thursday night. Led by head coach Bryan Lamar, the Comets can now get into the playoffs with a win against Brookwood and a Newton loss to Archer on Friday night.

Von Lassiter, Bleckley County: The Royals capped off their 2023 regular season with a 21-20 statement win over Swainsboro last Friday night to clinch the Region 2-A Divison 1 Championship. Led by head coach Von Lassiter, it’s the Royals' second region championship in three years.
