Vote: Who should be SBLive's Georgia Volleyball Player of the Year?

We give you 10 candidates to select from

Here are the candidates for the Georgia High School Volleyball Player of the Year for 2023. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Saturday, December 31st at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced Sunday, January 1st, 2024.

Here are the nominations: 

Valiree Schmus, OH, Chestatee: The junior outside hitter was one of the state's players all season long leading Chestatee leading them to a 32-11 record. Schmus tallied 614 kills, 67 aces, 43 blocks, 304 digs and 29 assists. 

Gracie Rose, OH, Greater Atlanta Christian: The 6-foot-1 senior outside hitter has been one of the state's best when it comes to the kills department. Rose managed to rack up 566 kills, 99 aces and 330 digs for the 34-8 Spartans. 

Peyton Slone, OH, Fannin County: Slone is a sophomore has tallied already over 1,000 kills through her first two seasons for varsity volleyball. The outside hitter has totaled 543 kills, 255 digs, 68 aces, 14 assists and 10 blocks. 

Kaitlyn Moran, S, Mount Paran Christian: Through three seasons with Mount Paran Christian, Moran has nearly thrown together 4,000 assists in her high school career. The setter this past season notched 1,333 assists, 109 aces and 85 kills. 

Reagan Foles, L, Newnan: Foles, a senior libero, had the best season when it came to her position. The Newnan libero has gathered a state-lead with 679 digs, 96 assists and 18 kills on the season. 

Nikol Antova, OH, North Cobb: The North Cobb outside hitter had one of the top seasons when it came to her position in 2023. Antova collected 536 kills, 271 digs, 41 aces, 46 blocks and 35 assists.

Nathalie Tsai, S, Chamblee: Whenever Chamblee got ready to serve, Tsai was always a threat to notch an ace. She led the state in aces with 197 and also added 620 assists, 201 digs, 66 kills and 15 blocks. 

Destinee Chukelu, MB, Blessed Trinity: Just a freshman playing in the middle for Blessed Trinity, Chukelu was hard to get past for opposing players. Chukelo tallied a state-high 180 blocks, also adding 159 kills in her first season. 

Reece Wright, RS, Milton: Wright had a spectacular junior campaign for Milton in helping the Eagles go 19-24 on the season. The 5-foot-10 junior tallied 512 kills, 260 digs, 47 aces and 28 blocks. 

Lucy Shi, S, Westminster: Shi is another setter that did a little bit of everything, putting up some tremendous numbers across the board. The 5-foot-7 junior had 1,176 assists, 271 digs, 113 aces and 43 kills.
