TAMPA, Fla.- Sophomore guard Kendall Dudley led the Sidwell Friends Quakers (Washington D.C.) to their first girls basketball national title in school history with a 50-39 win over Lake Highland Prep (Florida) on Saturday morning in the State Champions Invitiational.
Dudley finished with a game-high 18 points and eight rebounds and UCLA signee Kiki Rice added 10 points (all in the second half) to go along with seven rebounds.

“We worked extremely hard for this moment and to graduate just three seniors, we will definitely be back,” Dudley said.
The Quakers finished the season with a perfect 30-0 record.
Louisville signee Nyla Harris finished with yet another double-double - 12 points and 16 rebounds - to lead Lake Highland Prep. Junior guard Eleecia Carter scored 11 points (4-of-13 from the field and 3-of-7 from three-point distance) and sophomore guard Bri Rivera added six points.
“It’s obviously disappointing to come up short ... I feel like we could have played a lot better than the way we did,” said Lake Highland Prep coach Al Honor.
