Akron-Westfield QB Laytin Koch voted SBLive’s Iowa high school athlete of the week (10/3/2023)

Koch tallied more than 50 percent of the vote

Akron-Westfield quarterback Laytin Koch was voted SBLive’s Iowa High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 18-24. 

Koch totaled 1,367 votes (54.38%). 

The senior quarterback rushed for 169 yards and four touchdowns and passed for 154 yards as the Class A 10th-ranked Westerners beat Le Mars Gehlen Catholic, 38-7.
