KSHSAA Announces District Assignments for 2026, 2027

Kansas high school football teams receive upcoming district opponents

District football assignments for Kansas high school teams have been released for the next two seasons.

The Kansas State High School Activities Association revealed the plans for both the 2026 and 2027 seasons on Wednesday. These go into effect next year and have no impact on the current season, which is approaching the start of the playoffs.

Reigning Kansas high school football state champions are Gardner-Edgerton (Class 6A), St. Thomas Aquinas (5A), Andover Central (4A), Andale (3A), SE-Saline (2A), Conway Springs (1A), Hoxie (8-Man D1), Axtell (8-Man DII) and Weskan (6-Man).

Next year, Andover Central will move up to 5A while St. Thomas Aquinas drops down to 4A.
