Photos: Brother Rice boys basketball defeats U-D Jesuit, clinches Catholic League crown

The Warriors will be the No. 1 seed for the league tournament

The No. 1 Brother Rice Warriors (16-1) defeated the No. 4 U-D Jesuit Cubs (15-3) 73-62 Friday night at Brother Rice High School. 

The Warriors clinched their first Catholic League title since 1996. Xavier Thomas led brother Rice with 20 points.

Brother Rice led 33-28 at halftime, and it pulled away in the third quarter to build a 15-point lead before the Cubs cut it down to 10 entering the fourth quarter.
