The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles defeated the University Liggett Knights 2-1 in the Division 2 MHSAA baseball finals on Saturday at McLane Stadium.

Cam Seth tripled to right field for two RBIs. Jackson Isaacs scored, unearned, and Ty Uchman scored, unearned, for a 2-0 Eagles lead after the first inning.

The Knights scored one run in the top of the fifth inning. Oliver Service reached on a fielder's choice where Jarren Purify scored.

University Liggett had a runner in scoring position to tie the game in the top of the seventh inning, but Preston Barr hit a ground ball to second base.

Uchman and Seth also combined on the mound. 

Uchman pitched four innings, allowing one earned run on five hits. He had three strikeouts and three walks. 

Seth pitched three innings. He allowed no runs, one walk and one strikeout.
