Mendon's Lauren Schabes voted the top performer in the 2023 MHSAA softball tournament.

Schabes had three hits and two RBIs in the Division 4 title game. She was also stellar on the mound in the semifinal win over Johannesburg Lewiston. She pitched a complete game and allowed two runs, six hits while striking out 12 batter and walking three.
