Girls’ Hockey

Gretchen Paaverud, Anoka

The junior goaltender made 89 saves on 91 shots faced in a six-overtime sectional loss to Blaine, 2-1, on Feb. 9. It was the second-longest game in Minnesota high school hockey history, lasting almost 120 minutes.

Kamryn Van Batavia, Luverne

The senior committed to Minnesota State-Mankato had seven points over two games, with a hat trick and an assist in a 7-0 win over Fairmont, Feb. 7, and two goals and an assist in an 8-1 win over Windom, Feb. 11. She leads the state with 57 goals scored.

Rylee Bartz, Warroad

The senior forward committed to University of St. Thomas had seven points in a 9-2 win over East Grand Forks on Feb. 11, with five goals and two assists. Her 92 points lead all of Minnesota.

Olivia Hansen, Prior Lake

The junior goaltender had 38 saves on 39 shots in a 2-1 win in the Section 2AA quarterfinal over Eden Prairie, Feb. 10. Her .939 save percentage is eighth-best in the state.

Isa Goettl, Andover

The soon-to-be Golden Gopher scored three goals and assisted on five more in a 14-1 win over Northern Tier on Feb. 9. She added another assist in a 4-1 win over Elk River/Zimmerman in the Section 7AA semifinal on Feb. 11. She’s tied for fourth in Minnesota with 40 assists.

Boys’ Hockey

Jayson Shaugabay, Warroad

The senior forward had nine points over three games. He had a goal and two assists in a 4-2 win at East Grand Forks, Feb. 6, another key goal in a 3-2 win over the same team the next day, and a goal and four assists in an 8-0 win at Bemidji, Feb. 9. His 51 assists lead the state.

Tyler Hennen, Kittson County Central

The senior forward had 11 points over two games, playing a part in all five goals (four goals and an assist) in an 8-5 loss to Wadena-Deer Creek on Feb. 10, and he played a part in all but one goal (two goals and four assists) in a 7-2 win over Park Rapids the next day. He leads all of Minnesota in points (117) and goals (68).

Hampton Slukynsky, Warroad

The senior goaltender stopped 25-of-27 shots in a 4-2 win at East Grand Forks, Feb. 6, made 33 saves on 35 chances in a 3-2 home win over the same team the next day, and stopped all 27 shots on goal in an 8-0 win at Bemidji two days later. He leads the state in wins (23) and save percentage (.947).

Johnny Hendrickson, Providence Academy

The senior forward scored twice and added an assist in a 5-4 win at Delano on Feb. 7. He had a hat trick and two assists in a 7-0 shutout of Rochester Lourdes on Feb. 11.

Carter Oothoudt, Little Falls

The junior forward had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win at St. Cloud Cathedral on Feb. 7. He scored all three of his team’s goals in a 3-2 win over Detroit Lakes, Feb. 9, and he had a goal and two assists in an 8-2 win over Sauk Rapids-Rice, Feb. 11.
