Minnesota high school football is over, and many players stood out in the 2023 Class 1A season.

SBLive has chosen 15 standout athletes who had top seasons in 2023.

Read through the candidates and cast your vote. Voting will end on December 21 at 11:59 p.m.

Jakob Nachreiner – Springfield

Nachreiner was one of the most productive quarterbacks in the state. He threw 337 times and completed 64.4 percent of his passes for 3,431 yards and 55 touchdowns to 10 interceptions.

Trevor Smith – Tracy-Milroy-Balaton

Smith compiled 2,229 yards and 28 touchdowns to seven interceptions. He also ran 83 times for 512 yards and seven touchdowns.

Ryan Meagher – Minneota

Meagher was a star running back for the Vikings all season. He ran 230 times for 2,224 yards and 40 touchdowns. He also caught nine passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

Dylan Houseman – Canby

Houseman ran 171 times for 1,015 yards and eight touchdowns for an average of 101.5 rushing yards per game. 

Mason Boesl – Parkers Prairie

Boesl posted an impressive 12.2 yards per carry on 96 carries. He accumulated 1,173 yards and 17 rushing touchdowns. He also had 13 receptions for 158 yards.

Carter Olson – Springfield

Olson was the main recipient of Nachreiner’s passes. He caught 88 passes for 1,288 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Jeret Ankrum – Tracy-Milroy-Balaton

In 10 games, Ankrum caught 56 passes for 1,087 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Ashton Toll – Springfield

Toll was a tackling machine for Springfield in 2023. He finished with 138 total tackles, 41 solo tackles, six tackles for loss and one interception. On offense, Toll caught 27 passes for 422 yards and seven touchdowns. He also ran 61 times for 333 yards and seven touchdowns.

Zackary Mrnak – Parkers Prairie

Mrnak had a phenomenal 122 total tackles. He had 101 solo tackles, eight tackles for loss, three sacks and one forced fumble.

Parker Bradley – Minneota

Bradley led the Class 1A state champions in total tackles with 87. He had 39 solo tackles, 15 tackles for loss, one tack, two forced fumbles, one interception and one defensive touchdown.

Caiden Schjenken – Deer River

Schjenken was a ball hawk in the secondary with 10 interceptions in 2023 in 10 games, according to stats submitted to MNfootballhub.

Sam Pidde – Springfield

Pidde was a playmaker in the secondary for the Tigers. He finished the season with seven interceptions, 77 tackles, two tackles for loss and two sacks.

Luke Dingmann – Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa

Dingmann threw 185 passes and completed 70.3 percent of them for 1,844 yards and 30 touchdowns for the Jaguars. He also ran 75 times for 656 yards and nine touchdowns.

Toby Cebulla – Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa

Cebulla was a force on defense for the Class 1A semifinalists. Cebulla finished with 80 total tackles this season, and 30 solo tackles.

Elliott Viland – Bethlehem Academy

Viland finished third in Class 1A in passing yards. He finished with 1,959 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also rushed for 209 yards and nine touchdowns. On defense, Viland finished with 44 tackles.
