NOMINEES FOR FEB. 15-21:
Tyrus Crump, Oxford: Crump scored 19 points to lead Oxford to a 73-59 victory over West Harrison in the first round of the MHSAA 6A playoffs.
Mackenzie Frasier, Northeast Jones: Frasier scored 10 points - including the game-tying “and-one” with 11 seconds left - to help lead Northeast Jones to a 52-49 win over Vancleave in the first round of the MHSAA 4A playoffs.
Chad Jones, Bay Springs: Jones scored 22 points to lead Bay Springs to a 92-56 win over Collins in the first round of the MHSAA 2A playoffs.
Nick Krass, St. Patrick: Krass scored a game-high 33 points to lead the Fighting Irish to a 76-40 win over Enterprise Clarke in the first round of the MHSAA playoffs.
Carlos Martin, Laurel: Martin scored 12 points - including seven in the fourth quarter - to lead Laurel to a 48-43 win over Gautier in the first round of the MHSAA 5A playoffs.
Jalin Naylor, Northeast Jones: Naylor hit a deep 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Northeast Jones a 52-49 win over Vancleave in the first round of the MHSAA 4A playoffs.
Tashun Pierce, Bay Springs: Pierce scored 17 points to help lead Bay Springs to a 92-56 win over Collins in the first round of the MHSAA 2A playoffs.
Caleb Rawls, East Marion: Rawls scored 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds to help lead East Marion to a 79-38 win over Mize in the first round of the MHSAA 2A playoffs.
Drew Roth, St. Patrick: Roth scored 22 points to help lead the Fighting Irish to a 76-40 win over Enterprise Clarke in the first round of the MHSAA playoffs.
Jordan Stewart, Wayne County: Stewart scored 13 points - including three 3-pointers - to help lead Wayne County to a 62-50 win over South Jones in the first round of the MHSAA 5A playoffs.
Cameron Walker, East Marion: Walker had 20 points and five steals to lead East Marion to a 79-38 win over Mize in the first round of the MHSAA 2A playoffs.
Leterrius Warren, Wayne County: Warren scored 14 points to help lead Wayne County to a 62-50 win over South Jones in the first round of the MHSAA 5A playoffs.
