Look: Ole Miss commit Hallie Burns pitches no-hitter and homers to lead Booneville to Mississippi softball state title
Burns pitched all 14 innings of the championship series
HATTIESBURG - Hallie Burns ended her junior season in dream fashion on Friday.
Burns, an Ole Miss softball commit, pitched a no-hitter in the circle and blasted a homer at the plate to lead Booneville to an 8-0 win over Enterprise-Clarke to capture the MHSAA Class 3A softball state championship.
And Burns didn't even know that she threw a no-hitter in the state championship game.
“It’s great, did not know that, but great,” Burns said when asked about her no-hitter. “I usually just focus on one batter at a time.”
