Photos: Webster Groves boys soccer beats Summit for ninth straight win
The Webster Groves boys soccer team didn't lose a game in September.
The Statesmen haven't lost yet in October, either.
Webster Groves kept rolling on Thursday with a 5-1 victory over visiting Rockwood Summit for the squad's ninth straight win.
Since losing their season opener 2-1 at CBC, back on August 27, the Statesmen have won 14 games and tied twice. Maybe more impressively, they've only allowed seven goals in those 16 games, as they've outscored their opponents 49-7.
Webster Groves (14-1-2) got two goals from Brendan Crews on Thursday and two assists from Jack Armstrong. Oliver Doyle had a goal and an assist. Matthew DeGarmo and Branyon Heard added goals.
Zoran Sabbert scored the lone goal for Summit (9-6) off an assist from Tyler Bouckaert. The Falcons have now lost two games in a row after winning seven straight.
