Cardinal Ritter sophomore quarterback Carson Boyd tossed a career-high five touchdown passes to lead the Lions past visiting Lift For Life Academy 50-0 on Saturday.

Boyd threw two touchdown passes to his older brother, Ryan, a senior wide receiver, and threw two touchdown passes to Michigan commit Fredrick Moore. He also connected with Missouri State commit Dallas Winner-Johnson for a score.

All five of Boyd's touchdown passes came in the first half as the Lions (7-0) built a 44-0 lead. Boyd has thrown 11 touchdown passes the past three games – shutout victories against Lutheran St. Charles, Borgia and Lift For Life. The Lions have outscored those three opponents 142-0.

Lift For Life (5-2) had a four-game win streak snapped with the loss.
