Jaguars finish strong in 9-4 victory over Vikings

Kenton Deverman and the Fort Zumwalt West Jaguars shook off a sluggish start on Tuesday for an impressive 9-4 victory at Francis Howell.

Howell (23-7), the No. 4 team in the SBLive Missouri Power 25 rankings, jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead after one inning. Zumwalt West (23-6), ranked fifth in the SBLive Missouri Power 25, answered by outscoring the Vikings 9-2 over the next four innings.

Deverman, a senior southpaw, improved to 6-0 on the season as he limited Howell's strong lineup to just two runs over the final six frames. He allowed seven hits and struck out nine batters.
