Noah Thomas scores game-high 24 points as Vikings win second state title

SACRAMENTO - Noah Thomas scored a game-high 24 points to lift Pleasant Valley of Chico over Venice 57-53 on Saturday afternoon in the CIF State Division III boys basketball championship at the Golden 1 Center.

It marked the second state title for the Vikings (32-3) under head coach Tim Keating.

Ned Joyce contributed 14 points for Pleasant Valley while Luke Kremer added 12 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

Tyler Hunt led Venice (21-10) with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
