Ju Ju Watkins scores 23 points and grabs 19 rebounds as Trailblazers win fifth state title in last 10 seasons

SACRAMENTO - Ju Ju Watkins scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead Sierra Canyon past Archbishop Mitty 85-61 on Saturday night in the CIF State Open Division girls basketball championship at the Golden 1 Center.

It marked the fifth state title in the last 10 season for the Trailblazers (30-2) under head coach Alicia Komaki.

Christy Reynoso supplied 14 points for Sierra Canyon while teammate Mackenly Randolph had 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Makayla Moore led Archbishop Mitty (30-2) with 14 points and Morgan Cheli finished with 11.
