Anthony Ball has game-highs of 17 points and 20 rebounds to lead Hornets
INDIANAPOLIS - Anthony Ball had game-highs of 17 points and 20 rebounds to lead Beech Grove over Mishawaka Marian 53-43 on Saturday night in the IHSAA Class 3A boys basketball championship at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Hornets (22-6) outscored Mishawaka Marian 17-9 in the final period en route to the school's first boys basketball state title.
Cam Brown added 13 points - including connecting on three 3-pointers - while teammate Jeremiah Tate contributed 12 points and a team-high four assists in the victory.
Richard Brooks led Mishawaka Marian (24-4) with 13 points while Deaglan Sullivan finished with 10.
