Photos: Lake Highland Prep (Florida) girls defeat Woodward Academy (Georgia) 81-57 in semifinals of inaugural State Champions Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. - Eleecia Carter scored a team-high 20 points to lead five players in double figures as Lake Highland Prep (Florida) defeated Woodward Academy (Georgia) 81-57 on Friday afternoon in the semifinals of the inaugural State Champions Invitational girls basketball tournament at Berkeley Preparatory School.
The State Champions Invitational is a four-team national tournament for NFHS state champions.
The Prep Highlanders, who won the FHSAA 4A championship this season, improved to 26-4 while advancing to Saturday's title game.
Lexi Blue supplied 17 points in the victory while teammate Nyla Harris added 10 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.
Sydney Bowles led Woodward Academy (28-3) with a game-high 24 points while Sara Lewis finished with 13. Bowles connected on three 3-pointers and had a game-high nine rebounds.
Lake Highland Prep outscored Woodward Academy 26-11 in the final period.
