Look: Idaho high school football showdown ends with dramatic Hail Mary, failed conversion

Watch the final sequence as No. 2 Meridian stuffs No. 1 Rocky Mountain to eke out 14-12 win

One moment, the No. 1 ranked high school football team in Idaho appeared to be staging an improbable late-game comeback.

The next play, the state's No. 2 team won the game on a defensive stand.

Meridian (7-0) stuffed the ensuing two-point conversion to beat Rocky Mountain (6-1), the top team in SBLive's Idaho Power 10 rankings 14-12 on Friday night.

It's the first time the Warriors have beat the Grizzlies in 11 years.

Rocky Mountain senior Luke Luchini caught a tipped Hail Mary pass in the back of the endzone from around 30 yards out.
