St. Edward (9-1) survived an early pick-six and played stellar defense all game to give host Archbishop Hoban (8-1) its first loss of the season.

THIRD QUARTER UPDATES

Not to be such a broken record, but hey, it's still 7-7 heading into the fourth quarter.

If you like defense, then you love this game. Rickey Williams comes up with a big sack for Hoban: 

MORE DEFENSE! St. Edward with another fourth-down stop as the Knights were driving deep in the Eagles' territory. Still 7-7.

EAGLES WITH A BIG STOP! Hoban's fake FG attempt on fourth down doesn't work and we head to halftime tied 7-7.

FIRST QUARTER UPDATES

First quarter ends with Hoban leading 7-0.

INTERCEPTION! St. Edward has a turnover problem early in this one. Halfback pass goes awry and the Eagles' drive stalls with a Tysen Campbell interception for Hoban at the Knights' 9-yard line.

PICK-SIX! Hoban's Eli Lee grabs the interception and waltzes in to give the Knights a 7-0 lead with 10:01 left in the quarter.

PREGAME UPDATES

Watch for young running backs to shine in the limelight tonight. St. Edward sophomore Brandon White rushed for 262 yards in the Eagles' 28-21 win last week over Archbishop Moeller. Hoban freshman Brent Feister, meanwhile, rushed for 192 yards in the Knights' 28-13 win at St. Francis (New York).

With Caleb Jones out for Hoban tonight, Feister will get the start.
