LAS VEGAS — Devon Rice and Elija Lofton combined for four touchdowns to lead Power 25 No. 4 Bishop Gorman to a convincing 49-6 victory over visiting Liberty (Henderson, Nev.) on Thursday night.

Quarterback Micah Alejado threw two touchdown passes for the Gaels, who remained undefeated after their first five games of the 2023. The Patriots lost for the first time this season and dropped to 3-1.

Bishop Gorman, which earlier in the season knocked off nationally-ranked squads Corner Canyon-Draper, Utah (63-42), Long Beach Poly (60-15), Central-Miami, Fla. (39-35) and Corona Centennial (56-28), now has the softest part of its schedule remaining.
