Ellis Bynum had two touchdown runs, Emar’rion Winston and Timmy Mitchell scored on fumble returns, and Central Catholic pulled away from Tualatin for a 44-14 victory in the Class 6A football state final Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium.
It’s the second consecutive OSAA title for the Rams, who defeated Lake Oswego 49-28 in the 2019 title game. It’s the program’s sixth state championship — and third time going back-to-back. Central Catholic also turned the trick in 1952-53 and 2013-14.
