DUNCANVILLE (Texas) - Jiya Perry and Sa'Myah Smith supplied 12 points each to lift the DeSoto girls basketball team over host Duncanville 51-47 on Tuesday night in a District 11-6A showdown. The Eagles rallied from a 11-point third-quarter deficit to claim the victory.

DeSoto (23-2 overall) remained undefeated in its first nine district games while bouncing back from a 60-55 loss to Sidwell Friends (D.C.) on Saturday in the Girls Basketball Invitational in Indianapolis.

Victoria Flores scored a game-high 18 points for Duncanville (26-5).
