Elite California wide receiver prospect Ryan Pellum has flipped his commitment from USC to the Oregon, becoming the second blue chip wideout Ducks head coach Dan Lanning's staff has flipped on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.

Pellum, a consensus 4-star and the No. 8 overall prospect in California, broke the news in a signing ceremony at Millikan High School, which he streamed live on Instagram.

It's the second signing day surprise for Duck fans after elite Missouri receiver Jeremiah McClellan flipped his longtime commitment from Ohio State commitment to Oregon Wednesday morning.

USC's recent string of transfers "had a little bit of a factor" in Pellum's decision to flip, he told the OC Register's Luca Evans at the ceremony.

As of midday Wednesday, the Ducks now sport the No. 4 ranked class in the country, per 247 Sports

Oregon was by no means a late entrant into Pellum's recruitment. He committed to USC in late June over the Ducks.
