Here are the candidates for SBLive’s North Carolina High School Football Coach of the Week for Sept. 8-9 as nominated SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. You may vote as many times as you like. Voting will conclude on Saturday, September 16 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in our next poll. 

Congratulations to last week's winner, Tripp Honeycutt of South Davidson. Honeycutt received nearly 55 percent of the vote in last week's fan poll. Tony Aguilar of Southeast Alamance finished second with 25 percent of the votes, and Jonathan McIntosh of Central Davidson finished third.

HERE ARE THIS WEEK’S NORTH CAROLINA FOOTBALL COACH OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Brian Hales, Butler: Hales has the Bulldogs back in form after a disappointing loss in the season-opener at Rolesville. Butler is now 3-1 after beating SBLive Power 25 No. 3 Weddington 22-15 on Sept. 8 on the heels of beating nationally ranked Langston Hughes (Georgia) 30-27 on Sept. 2.

Ron Cook, Farmville Central: Cook has the Jaguars on the prowl at 4-0 and averaging a little more than 60 points per game this season. They beat Roanoke Rapids 50-0 in Week 4.

Jonathan Oliphant, Lake Norman: Oliphant and the Wildcats are off to a 4-0 start after a thrilling come from behind 23-21 win over Marvin Ridge on Sept. 8, a game they trailed 21-0 in the third quarter.

Joe Glass, Hickory: The Red Tornadoes are off to a 3-0 start following a 35-15 win against Cox Mill.

Tad Baucom, Hickory Grove: Baucom picked up his 200th career win in a 42-0 shutout of Mount Zion.

John Kirby, Eastern Alamance: The Eagles are off to a 4-0 start after edging Reidsville, the No. 10 team in the SBLive Power 25, 19-14 on Sept. 8.

Duke Howell, Cuthbertson: Howell has the Cavaliers off to the first 4-0 start in school history after their 23-0 win against Palisades on Sept. 8. Howell's son, Sam, will make his first NFL start for the Washington Commanders on Sept. 10.

Ryan Habich, Watauga: The Pioneers are off to a 4-0 start after nipping A.C. Reynolds 36-35.
