Here are the candidates for SBLive’s North Carolina High School Football Coach of the Week (Oct. 26-27) as nominated by our SBLive staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 4th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Joe Glass, Hickory

The Red Tornadoes beat Statesville 30-14 to wrap up an undefeated regular season and win their first conference championship since 2007.

Rob Creason, Oak Grove

Leading your team to a 9-1 record and a conference championship is close to as good as it gets. That’s what Creason did when he took over the helm at Oak Grove from Mark Holcomb. The Grizzlies beat Central Davidson 42-14.

Nick Eddins, Pinecrest

The Patriots completed the first undefeated regular season in school history by trouncing Union Pines 60-3. Pinecrest won its first conference championship in football last year and made it two in a row with Friday’s win.

Andrew Carrouth, North Moore

Carrouth has overseen the best four-year period in program history. North Moore was a doormat for a long time. But not anymore. The Mustangs beat Chatham Central 42-8 to win back-to-back consecutive conference championships for the first time. North Moore is now 8-2.

LaMonte Williamson, West Columbus

The Vikings just keep getting better. They were 6-6 in 2021 and 9-4 in 2022. Now they’re 9-1 and conference champions with a high seed for the state playoffs. West Columbus capped its regular season with a 55-0 trouncing of East Columbus.

Joey Robinson, Mountain Heritage

The players change over the years, but this program keeps right on chugging along. Mountain Heritage turned what was supposed to be a showdown with once-beaten Draughn for the conference championship into a 52-15 rout.

Dee Walsh, Robbinsville

In a battle of unbeaten teams, Robbinsville held off Swain County 14-8 to win the conference championship. The Black Knights are now 9-1.

Brent Wooten, Havelock

The Rams routed J.H. Rose 35-7 to finish the regular season undefeated. Havelock (10-0) outscored its regular season opponents 334-135.

Darryl Brown, Grimsley

The undefeated 4-A defending state champions just keep plowing through opponents. Grimsley routed Northern Guilford 49-6 for their 26th consecutive victory. The Whirlies have outscored their opponents 501-88.

Brian Hales, Butler

Butler beat rival Independence 35-23 to secure the Bulldogs’ third straight conference title. The Bulldogs are now 9-1.
