Here are the nominees:
Heath Vandevender, Trinity Christian: One of the more surprising results of last week was when Trinity Christian upended highly ranked The Burlington School 64-62. Vandevender has led the Crusaders to eight straight wins.
Frank Moore, Ocracoke: The Dolphins have really started to catch fire as the regular season has come to a close. Moore has Ocracoke playing solid basketball, tallying six straight victories.
John Green, Green Level: Not many teams in the Tar Heel State can say they're undefeated. Unless you're the Green Level Gators, whom are 20-0 and have yet to lose a game.
Clarence Coleman, Broughton: It hasn't been the most ideal season for the Capitals, but lately they've started to play at their best. Coleman has gotten the most out of his group recently, winning three games in a row, going 2-0 last week.
Ron Johnson, Providence Day: The Chargers lost against Davidson Day on Jan. 27, but after that turned things up a notch. Last week, Johnson led his squad to a 3-0 record, with wins coming over Charlotte Christian, Charlote Country Day and Covenant Day.
