Photos: Watkins Memorial, Bloom-Carroll show off some power against ace pitchers

Two of the best pitchers in Ohio high school softball faced off in a scrimmage this week at Watkins Memorial, but the hitters weren't fazed.
Watkins Memorial beat Bloom-Carroll 6-3, as the Warriors hit three home runs off Ohio State commit Lexie Paulsen, while Bloom-Carroll hit two off super sophomore Carsyn Cassady.
But the two aces had their moments. Paulsen struck out 11 in six innings and walked none, while Cassady struck out seven in six innings.
Watkins Memorial sophomore Jordan Wycuff — starting at catcher in place of the injured Madison Jellison — homered in the first, and fellow sophomore Cortney Dobbs also went deep.
Senior shortstop Hannah Hunt doubled, tripled and hit an inside-the-park homer.
Seniors Reese Pittman and Casey Hanrahan homered for Bloom-Carroll.
