Austin Sizemore pitched a three-hitter and helped himself at the plate Wednesday night with an RBI single to lead Olentangy to a 2-1 win at Hilliard Darby.
Jackson Chrisman led the Olentangy offense, going 3-for-4 with a triple, run scored and an RBI. Leadoff man Brandon Hire went 2-for-3 with a single, double, walk and a run.
All the game's scoring came in the fifth inning, with Hilliard Darby getting an unearned run in the bottom of the frame.
Darby's 7, 8 and 9 hitters — Travis Yankovich, Cooper Gilkerson and Brody Van Dyke — had the Panthers' three hits.
Sizemore improved to 3-0 this season for Olentangy (9-1, 3-0), which will host Hilliard Darby (5-4, 3-2) tonight.
