Photos: New Albany softball gets off to a hot playoff start in rout of St. Francis DeSales

New Albany left little doubt Tuesday night that the Eagles are primed for the playoffs, scoring a 13-0 opening-round rout of St. Francis DeSales in five innings.
Seven Eagles had a two-hit night, with senior Sophia Angles leading the way with a double and three RBIs. Freshman Ava Bowersock drove in two and scored two, while Jordan George stole four bases.
Jess Goldhardt pitched five scoreless innings to earn the win, driving in one and scoring two runs at the plate.
New Albany will play at 5 p.m. Thursday at Olentangy Liberty for the right to keep playing.
