Sixth-seeded Olentangy Liberty and ninth-seeded Mount Vernon looked evenly matched all day Tuesday at Pickerington North.

One big swing of the bat by Olentangy Liberty senior Ashley Chevalier in the bottom of the seventh was the difference.

Chevalier's three-run walk-off homer propelled the Patriots to a 5-2 win and a spot in the district final Saturday against No. 4 seed Gahanna Lincoln.

The Bowling Green State commit's blast sends Olentangy Liberty to the district final for the first time since 2015.

The district championship game will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pickerington Central.
