Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 21-27 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers. 

Read through the nominees and cast your vote. We’ll send a free SBLive T-shirt to the winner of the poll! Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced Monday.

Sara Barhoum, Clackamas

The freshman guard scored a game-high 27 points, on an 11-for-16 shooting night, including five 3-pointers, helping the Cavaliers earn an 82-22 win over David Douglas in a Mt. Hood Conference game played at Clackamas High School. Barhoum also had five assists and four steals in the victory. 

Gabby Bland, Crescent Valley

The junior guard poured in 29 points, helping the Raiders post a 58-48 win over Central in a Mid-Willamette Conference game played at Central High School.

Zoe Borter, Beaverton

The junior guard scored a game-high 20 points to help the Beavers get a 48-38 Metro League title-clinching win over Jesuit in a game played at Beaverton High School. Borter also had nine rebounds, went 3 for 3 from 3-point range and sank five crucial free throws in the fourth quarter of the victory.

Olivia Boyd, Gervais

The sophomore wing had 20 points, tying her sister, Izzy, for team-high scoring honors, helping the Cougars record a 65-58 win over Gervais in a Class 2A state playoff game at Gervais High School.  

Sophie Bronson, Nixyaawii

The junior scored a game-high 21 points to help the Golden Eagles notch a 53-28 win over Ione/Arlington in a home Class 1A second-round state playoff game. 

Quealey Carpenter, Thurston

The senior scored a game-high 18 points, helping lead the Colts to a 45-31 win over North Bend in a Midwestern League game played Friday at Thurston High School.

Morgan Casley, Thurston

The senior scored a game-high 19 points, helping the Colts earn a 46-24 win over Ashland in a Midwestern League contest played at Ashland High School. 

Eboni Clay, Grant

The sophomore guard had a huge game for the Generals in a 52-50 overtime win over Cleveland in a Portland Interscholastic League game played at Grant High School. In the victory, Clay scored 22 points, while also having seven rebounds, four assists and four steals. She hit the game-tying 3-pointer with seven seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime. In the extra session, she went coast-to-coast to score and give the Generals the final lead of the game. 

Bella Davis, Sandy

The senior, in her final game for the Pioneers, scored 20 points, sinking five 3-pointers in the process, while also having five rebounds, helping the team get a 42-30 win over Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference finale played at Sandy High School.

Peyton Gardner, Bend

The senior point guard had a big week for the Lava Bears, having totals of 28 points, 15 assists and 10 steals in Mountain Valley Conference games against league leaders South Salem and West Salem.

Ava Heiden, Sherwood

The 6-foot-4 Heiden had a strong performance for the Bowmen, scoring a game-high 13 points, while also having seven rebounds and two steals, in addition to being a big force on defense, in their 56-30 win over Newberg in a Pacific Conference game. Sherwood clinched the outright conference championship with the victory. 

Donovyn Hunter, South Medford

The junior guard scored a game-high 22 points, including 15 in the second quarter, helping the Panthers get a 69-31 win over Sheldon in a Southwest Conference game held at South Medford High School. Hunter also had five rebounds and four steals in the victory. 

Morgan James, Phoenix

The junior forward had a double-double, with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while also coming up with three steals for the Pirates in a 52-42 loss to Henley in a Skyline Conference game played at Phoenix High School.

Kayla Kasubuchi, Putnam

The junior guard scored a game-high 14 points, including 12 in the first quarter, helping the Kingsmen roll to a 70-10 win over Parkrose in a Northwest Oregon Conference game played at Putnam High School.

Ryane Mattox, Henley

The senior guard scored a game-high 18 points, sinking two 3-point baskets, for the Hornets in their 52-42 win over Phoenix in a Skyline Conference game played at Phoenix High School. 

Faith McCarthy, Echo

The senior scored a team-high 28 points, helping the Cougars notch a 73-47 win over Yoncalla in a Class 1A second-round state playoff game at Echo High School. 

Sofia Megert, South Eugene

The senior guard, and team captain, scored a game-high 17 points, helping the Axe post a 55-49 win over Grants Pass in a Southwest Conference game played at South Eugene High School.

Molly Miller, Oregon City

The sophomore guard scored a game-high 14 points while also having three rebounds, two 3-point baskets and a steal for the Pioneers in their 46-41 loss to West Linn in a Three Rivers League finale played at West Linn High School. 

Nichole Noffsinger, Yoncalla

The junior wing/post scored a game-high 24 points while also pulling down 16 rebounds for Yoncalla, which has just five players on its roster, in a 34-32 win over Chioquin in a Class 1A state playoff first-round contest. Noffsinger also scored 29 points in a second-round state playoff loss at Echo. 

Wynsome Painter, Trout Lake

The senior scored a game-high 16 points, including five in the first quarter, helping the Mustangs earn a 45-34 win over Powder Valley in a Class 1A state playoff first-round game at Power Valley High School. 

Caleigh Peterson, Astoria

The junior post led a big fourth-quarter comeback for the Fishermen in their 52-50 overtime win over Banks in a Cowapa League first-place tie-breaker game played at Tillamook. Peterson sank two key 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter and finished with a game-high 15 points. 

Caileigh Raines, North Medford

The freshman wing/post had a strong performance for the Black Tornado, scoring 11 points while also having seven rebounds and two steals, in a 54-18 win over Roseburg in a Southwest Conference game played at Roseburg High School. 

Allie Roden, West Linn

The freshman guard scored a team-high 13 points while also having five rebounds and two steals for the Lions in their 46-41 win over Oregon City in a key Three Rivers League finale played at West Linn High School.

Lily Ruiz, West Albany

The senior guard, and one of the team captains, scored a team-high 20 points, making three 3-pointers, for the Bulldogs in their 45-37 loss to Silverton in a Mid-Willamette Conference showdown played at West Albany High School.

Morgan Tiffin, Hidden Valley

The junior guard got the Mustangs off to a fast start, sinking an opening 3-pointer, and finished the contest with nine points, coming on three 3-pointers, six rebounds and a steal, helping Hidden Valley get a 57-32 win over McLoughlin in a Class 4A play-in contest at Hidden Valley. 

Paige Traeger, Silverton

The senior scored a game-high 21 points, sinking three 3-pointers, helping lead the Foxes to a 45-37 win over West Albany in a Mid-Willamette Conference showdown at West Albany High School. 

Makiah Vierck, Bandon

The sophomore forward scored a team-high 14 points, helping the Tigers earn a 44-34 win over Western Christian in a Class 2A state playoff game held at Bandon High School. 

Diamond Wright, Sheldon

The freshman guard/forward scored a game-high 18 points, helping the Irish post a 35-26 win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference game played at Sheldon High School. Wright also scored a team-high 15 points in a loss at South Medford. 

Gracie Johnson, Nyssa

The junior had an impressive double-double (25 points, 16 rebounds) against Clatskanie.
