Congratulations to South Medford guard Donovyn Hunter for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week for March 7-13!

The junior was a unanimous all-tournament first-team selection for the Panthers at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Hunter averaged 18.3 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game at the event.

Hunter received 46.38% of the vote, beating out Springfield's Danaeja Romero-Ah Sam who finished second with 26.74%. Barlow's Kennedie Shuler finished third with 16.26% and Beaverton's Zoe Borter finished fourth with 8.68%.

Emma Bales, Crook County

The senior post, a second-team all-tournament pick for the Cowgirls, averaged 15.3 points and a tournament-best 12.7 rebounds per game at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Bales had 17 points and 13 rebounds in a 47-44 overtime win over Silverton.

Taelyn Bentley, Crescent Valley

The freshman center was a second-team all-tournament pick as she helped lead the Raiders to the championship at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Bentley averaged 9.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game at the event.

Gabby Bland, Crescent Valley

The junior guard, a first-team all-tournament pick, scored a game-high 31 points, on a 9-for-12 shooting night, as she helped lead the Raiders to a 50-39 win over Springfield in the Class 5A state championship game, held at Gill Coliseum.

Zoe Borter, Beaverton

The junior was a first-team all-tournament pick as she helped lead the Beavers to the championship at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Borter scored a team-high 17 points in Beaverton’s 56-39 win over Barlow in the state championship game.

Taylor Brasfield, Corvallis

The sophomore scored a team-high 14 points for the Spartans while also having six rebounds in their 53-43 loss to Ridgefield in a quarterfinal game at the Class 5A state tournament held at Gill Coliseum.

Abigail Brown, Philomath

The junior post, a second-team all-tournament selection, helped lead the Warriors to the championship at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Brown averaged 12.0 points and a tournament-best 3.0 blocked shots per game at the event.

Kyleigh Brown, Silverton

The sophomore, a second-team all-tournament selection, scored a game-high 25 points for the Foxes in a 47-44 overtime loss to Crook County at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum.

Kyrah Daniels, Ridgeview

The junior guard/forward, a first-team all-tournament pick, averaged a tournament-best 25.3 points per game for the Ravens at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Daniels scored 31 points in a 58-43 win over Putnam in the third-place game.

Jazzy Davidson, Clackamas

The freshman earned first-team all-tournament accolades for the Cavaliers at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Davidson averaged 11.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and a tournament-best 2.7 blocked shots per game at the event.

Paige Doerr, Marist Catholic

The junior guard, a first-team all-tournament selection, led the Spartans with 21 points, five rebounds and five steals in a 57-48 loss to Baker in the fourth-place game at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School.

Avery Edwards, Jesuit

The junior guard scored a game-high 22 points while also having five rebounds for the Crusaders in their 56-43 loss to Benson at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center.

Reese Ericson, Lakeridge

The senior guard for the Pacers led all players at the Class 6A state tournament with 19.0 points and 6.7 assists per game.

Sasha Esquiro, Madras

The sophomore earned first-team all-tournament accolades for the White Buffaloes at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Esquiro averaged 14.3 points and 3.0 steals per game at the event.

Sandra Hill, Mazama

The senior had a double-double for the Vikings, with 10 points and 14 rebounds, in their 44-34 loss to Marist Catholic at the Class 4A state tournament held at Marshfield High School.

Audrey Kehoe, West Linn

The junior post scored a team-high 15 points while also having six rebounds and two blocked shots for the Lions in their 56-46 loss to Lakeridge at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center.

Annie Koenig, Barlow

The junior wing helped lead the Bruins to second place at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Koenig scored a team-high 20 points while also having five rebounds and three steals in a 44-42 semifinal win over South Medford.

Sage Kramer, Philomath

The senior guard was a unanimous first-team all-tournament selection as she helped lead the Warriors to the championship at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Kramer averaged a tournament-best 20.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game at the event. She had 23 points and 12 rebounds in Philomath’s 46-35 win over Corbett in the state championship game.

Malaya LeSueur, Benson

The junior guard was a first-team all-tournament pick for the Techsters at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. LeSueur had 20 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in Benson’s 60-51 win over Lakeridge in the fourth-place game.

Grace Merrill, Corbett

The senior post had 14 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three blocked shots for the Cardinals in their 60-36 win over Madras in a semifinal game at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School.

Maddie Olma, Putnam

The senior earned first-team all-tournament accolades for the Kingsmen at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Olma scored 18 points while also having six rebounds, six assists and three steals in a 74-42 quarterfinal win over Crook County.

Jozie Ramos, Baker

The junior forward earned first-team all-tournament honors as she helped lead the Bulldogs to a fourth-place finish at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Ramos averaged 15.7 points and 2.0 blocked shots per game at the event.

Danaeja Romero-Ah Sam, Springfield

The sophomore was a unanimous first-team all-tournament pick as she helped lead the Millers to second place at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Romero-Ah Sam averaged 13.7 points and a tournament-best 4.0 assists per game at the event.

Allyson Schimel, Corbett

The sophomore was a first-team all-tournament selection as she helped lead the Cardinals to second place at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Schimel averaged 15.7 points, a tournament-best 4.7 steals and 3.0 assists per game for the event.

Kennedie Shuler, Barlow

The junior guard helped lead the Bruins to second place at the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Shuler averaged 12.0 points and 2.3 steals per game at the tournament.

Brynn Smith, Willamette

The freshman guard was a first-team all-tournament pick for the Wolverines at the Class 5A state tournament, held at Gill Coliseum. Smith averaged 21.0 points and a tournament-best 4.0 steals per game at the event.

Lainey Spear, Beaverton

The junior was a first-team all-tournament selection as she helped lead the Beavers to the championship of the Class 6A state tournament, held at the Chiles Center. Spear averaged 16.0 points and 2.7 steals per game at the tournament.

Ariel Tobiasson, Cascade

The senior guard paced the Cougars with 35 total points in their two games at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School.

Skylar Willey, Hidden Valley

The senior forward earned second-team all-tournament honors for the Mustangs at the Class 4A state tournament, held at Marshfield High School. Willey averaged 9.0 rebounds, including 7.0 offensive rebounds, per game at the tournament.
