The Oregon Ducks men's basketball program added some much-needed depth to its backcourt.

On Monday, Colorado Buffaloes transfer and third-year sophomore Keeshawn Barthelemy announced he will be transferring to the University of Oregon:

The 6-foot-2, 171-pound floor general took a major step forward last season, upping his average from 3.7 points to 11.1 points per game to go along with 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists with solid shooting splits (42 field goal percentage, 34.7 percent from three-point range and 82.6 percent from the free throw line).

Oregon is likely to benefit from the return of all-conference point guard Will Richardson, but the Ducks were short on proven ball-handlers last season.

In full-court press situations, Oregon struggled, at times, to effectively in-bound the basketball and close out games.

Barthelemy is likely to push for a starting role, but could also be a valuable piece as a combo guard for the second unit.
