Lillian McCormick of Central voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Softball Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Central’s Lillian McCormick for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Softball Player of the Week for the week of May 8-14.
McCormick, a junior on the Central team, went 5 for 5 with a home run, a double, three runs and five RBIs for the Panthers in their 26-0 win at Crescent Valley in a Mid-Willamette Conference game. She also pitched three scoreless innings in the victory, allowing two hits while striking out six and walking two.
McCormick received 40.21% of the vote, beating out Zoe LeBreton, a junior on The Dalles team, who finished second with 32.62%. Taylor Thompson, a junior on the West Albany team, was third with 20.61% and Rachel Powers, a senior on the Southridge team, was fourth with 2.50%. There were more than 51,000 votes tallied this week.
