Twyman received 40.34% of the vote, beating out The Dalles’ Jeilane Stewart, who finished second with 34.44%.

Congratulations to South Umpqua’s Haley Twyman for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Softball Player of the Week for the week of May 22-28. 

Twyman, a sophomore on the South Umpqua team, batting in the leadoff spot, went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, three runs and two RBIs, helping the Lancers run to a 16-1 home win over Vale in a Class 3A state playoff second-round contest. 

Twyman received 40.34% of the vote, beating out Jeilane Stewart, a junior on The Dalles team, who finished second with 34.44%. Ana Fifita, a freshman on the Westview team, was third with 15.64% and Layne Portash, a junior on the La Salle Prep team, was fourth with 3.34%. There were more than 51,000 votes tallied this week.
