Congratulations to Mazama’s Abbygayle Beals for being voted SBLive’s WaFdBank Oregon Girls Athlete of the Week for the Week of Sept. 4-10. 

Beals, a senior middle blocker who shines as a defensive leader as well as a leader within the Vikings’ program, had 19 blocks, 24 kills, 23 digs and a passing average of 2.4 through Sept. 10.

Beals received 48.89% of the vote, beating out Sydney Spotts, a senior on the La Salle Prep girls soccer team, who finished second with 19.50%. Morgan Strauss, a senior on the Century volleyball team, was third with 10.99% and Kiyana Ellis, a sophomore on the Century girls soccer team, was fourth with 6.85%. There were nearly 11,000 votes tallied this week.
