Taylor Donaldson had 17 points and nine rebounds, Maddie Angel had 11 and six, and No. 6 South Albany notched a 48-38 victory over No. 3 Corvallis in a Class 5A girls basketball state tournament quarterfinal Thursday at Linfield University in McMinnville.
Kaylee Cordle added nine points and three steals for South Albany, which led 10-4 after one quarter and never trailed.
Marlee Hammer had 13 points and five rebounds for Corvallis. Holland Jensen added nine points, and Kate Rueck scored eight.
