Anna Harper of Henley voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week

Harper received 47.63% of the vote, beating out Jefferson’s Chanucey Andersen, who finished second with 24.59%

Congratulations to Henley’s Anna Harper for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of March 4-10. 

Harper, a junior forward/center on the Henley team, recorded a double-double for the Hornets with 11 points and 11 rebounds in their 41-38 win over Astoria in the Class 4A state championship game at Forest Grove High School. She had 14 points and 15 rebounds in an 81-54 quarterfinal win over Madras.

Harper received 47.63% of the vote, beating out Chanucey Andersen, a junior on the Jefferson team, who finished second with 24.59%. Diamond Wright, a junior on the Springfield team, was third with 18.23% and Annie Campos, a senior on the Henley team, was fourth with 5.90%. There were nearly 3,000 votes tallied this week.
