The second time was the charm this week for the Tacoma Baptist Crusaders.
After losing to Evergreen Lutheran on Tuesday to begin the 2020-21 WIAA football season, the Crusaders went on the road Saturday and secured a 46-14 victory over Muckleshoot Tribal School. It was the Kings' first game of the season.
Both teams struggled moving the football for the better part of the first half - until Noah Weaver broke a scoreless tie with a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown with 6 1/2 minutes remaining.
After that, the Crusaders never looked back.
