Before this weekend, very little was publicly known about the football future of Williams Field High School (Arizona) four-star wide receiver Kyler Kasper.

The 6-foot-5, 195-pound pass-catcher had already been selected as a 2023 All-American Bowl participant and racked up more than 25 scholarship offers.

But his recruitment remained open.

On Sunday, Kasper committed to the Oregon Ducks and elected to forego both his senior season and his All-American Bowl appearance in order to reclassify into the 2022 class.

By the afternoon, the Oregon football program's official Twitter account, "@OregonFootball" had announced his signing:

After losing elite Servite High School (California) wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan to Arizona in December, Oregon had an immediate need for a contested-catch receiver who could be a big-bodied redzone target and stretch the field vertically.

Enter: Kasper.

As a junior, the dynamic playmaker hauled in 51 receptions for 943 yards and nine touchdowns.

According to 247Sports, Kasper is worth 24.32 points as a commit in 2023.

If those points are instead added into the 2022 recruiting class, Oregon's No. 16-ranked class jumps to No. 11 nationally, leapfrogging Miami (Fla.), Missouri, Kentucky, LSU and North Carolina.

How did that happen? The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind:
